Outreach

We chose the name Hand in Hand because our mission is simple:

To stand alongside the Deaf community and offer support wherever we can. Our interpreting services are currently based in London and the surrounding areas, but we know there is still much more to do to improve access and inclusion for Deaf people worldwide.

To play our part in that wider effort, Hand in Hand commits 5% of all profits to Deaf‑led partners and organisations across the globe. These partners focus on projects such as improving communication access, developing education and employment opportunities, and strengthening Deaf leadership within local communities. By investing directly in Deaf‑run initiatives, we aim to make sure the benefits of our work are shared beyond our own services and contribute to long‑term, sustainable change.

Outreaches we support

In 1997, Matthew Adedeji, a Deaf missionary from Nigeria, arrived in Fiji on Christmas Day with his family. During his time there, he worked extensively with Deaf communities, particularly through the Christian Fellowship for the Deaf, serving faithfully for three years

Christian Mission for the Deaf Nigeria

Christian Mission for the Deaf is a non-profit organization focusing on meeting the spiritual needs of deaf Africans. Deaf people face many barriers to “hearing” the Word of God. Illiteracy, isolation and geographical distance pose communication problems that are not easily overcome

Hand in Hand Church

Hand in Hand has been a vibrant part of the Deaf community for over 20 years, passionately sharing God’s love through British Sign Language. It is a welcoming BSL-led fellowship where Deaf and hearing individuals worship, connect, and grow together.
